Death in the Family

Death in the Family is a 15+ ongoing comic (209 pages as of 20/03) taking place within the PHIGHTING! universe. It primarily features Sword (a melee Phighter in game) as he searches for Medkit (a support Phighter in game), following the latter's disappearance.

Death in the Family was initially teased on 25 November 2023, with the first pages of Act 1 releasing on social media and Discord on 18 January 2025. It is planned to feature multiple Acts, telling different stories in the Inpherno.

The leader of the project, and one of the artists, is known online as Sodakettle. The rest of the comic's production team has two writers, 15 artists (excluding Sodakettle) and two editors. Death in the Family aims for monthly releases of pages, but it is currently not planned to release any during April. The next pages are stated to release on the 29th of May.
